Contact ID SMS Translation – What is it and how does it work?
One of the outstanding features of the ProLine 4G Cloud is its ability to automatically convert Contact ID codes received from the alarm panel (e.g., alarm, fault, activation, etc.) into clear, understandable text SMS messages and forward them to specified phone numbers. This ensures that end users receive easily interpretable information about events.
Main features:
- Each Contact ID event can have a unique, freely editable SMS text assigned; up to 250 events and 250 zone names can be defined
- For each event, you can specify which of the 8 phone numbers should receive notifications
- An event can be forwarded to multiple recipients
- The translation table is fully customizable: new event codes and zones can also be added
Setting up Contact ID SMS Translation in the Cloud
The ProLine 4G Cloud module's cloud-based management allows you to configure Contact ID translation rules quickly and securely from anywhere using a web interface.
Setup steps:
1. Establishing a cloud connection
- Insert the SIM card into the module and register the device at www.ascloudmanager.eu.
- After successful registration, the device becomes available online for remote programming.
2. Editing the Contact ID SMS translation table
- Select the “Contact ID Translation to SMS” menu on the web interface.
- Upload or edit the texts assigned to the Contact ID events and select which events should be forwarded to which phone numbers.
- The system allows unique message and recipient assignments for each event and zone.
3. Saving and activation
- Save the changes; they will be activated immediately in the module.
- The alarm panel must dial 5555 to forward Contact ID events. To send all messages to a specific number, use the format 5555 + phone number (e.g., 5555 + 36201234567)
Advantages:
- No need for on-site programming; all settings can be done online
- Fast, transparent Contact ID management significantly reduces the risk of errors
- Users and partners receive immediate, personalised information about all events
Additional features and support
These accessories extend the functionality of the ProLine 4G Cloud system, enabling control of multiple devices, improving communication stability, and providing convenient and secure remote access and configuration.
- EXP Relay expansion board: This board adds one relay output to the ProLine 4G module, enabling the control of additional devices (e.g., gate, barrier, lighting).
- EXP Relay3 expansion board: provides three additional relay outputs, allowing the module to have up to 4 outputs in total. Each output can be configured independently (monostable/bistable operation).
- High-gain GSM antenna: can be used in weak signals to improve GSM connection quality and stability.
- External battery: ensures continuous system operation in case of power outages; the battery that connects to the ProLine 4G Cloud module can only be purchased from the manufacturer.
- WiFi/BT Programmer: allows module programming via Bluetooth or WiFi connection, making on-site or remote setup easier.
- Cloud Manager application: can be used for remote control and module programming, supporting multiple users and devices.
